About Us
Pilar holds a master's in Psychology and is a Certified Professional Life Coach. She was a full-time mother dedicated to raising her children and caring for her home, and her passion is family life and the education of children. She loves working with mothers and with couples.
Guido had a long career in investments and co-founded a private equity firm that backed and grew successful mid-sized businesses. Demanding as that work was, he gave real time to his most important job: being a father. Following Pilar's lead, he took courses and read widely on every aspect of parenting, and in time he moved into teaching and guiding other parents through the rough waters of raising children in the twenty-first century.
From 2015 to 2022, Pilar and Guido directed Texas Family Enrichment, a not-for-profit that runs parenting courses using the case-study method; both served as moderators and led case discussions in several cities. They are also the founders of Family Summer, a family vacation in Beaver Creek, Colorado, that combines parenting workshops with leisure and outdoor adventure.
Pilar and Guido married in 1995 and have six children, ages 30 through 19. The oldest five have finished college and are financially independent. Most importantly, each of their children practices the faith.
Originally from Argentina, they have called Houston home since 1996.

What is Couple 2 Couple Mentoring?
Couple 2 Couple
is an initiative started by Pilar & Guido Caranti to help young parents raise their kids with confidence and intentionality.
When Pilar and Guido married in 1995, they set out on a path of learning and growth, determined to be the best parents they could be. Soon after the wedding they moved to Texas to study and work. Pilar immersed herself in parenting books and shared what she learned with Guido; together they took several parenting courses and became involved in Family Enrichment, first as participants and then as moderators.
Raising a family in a foreign country, far from their own parents and siblings, was not easy. What carried them through was guidance and support: the mentorship of family and the wisdom of others who had gone before them. That experience convinced them of something simple. Raising happy, mature children takes more than improvisation. It takes guidance, and it takes support.
This is why they love sharing what they have learned. They want to walk alongside you in the adventure of parenting, meeting with you to talk through the ideas and the areas they consider essential to raising children well. They will listen to your struggles and to the places you want to grow, knowing that both parents shape a child's formation, each bringing their own perspective and gifts. Their approach is not the only road to raising happy, mature children, but it is one that has worked, in their own home and in the homes of the families they have accompanied.

FORMAT
- We meet for six to eight one-hour sessions. After that, we can meet as needed to talk through specific problems, situations, or concerns.
- Together we cover the Big Ideas in parenting and the areas we consider most important in raising children.
- Before each meeting, parents receive a talk by Pilar on the topic we will discuss next, along with action plans and worksheets to put what we cover into practice.
- We set the next meeting date in advance, and the couple watches the talk beforehand.
- There is always room in our meetings to discuss your own questions and concerns.
COST
We do not want to discourage couples from signing up for financial reasons.
Fees are discussed case by case, depending on each couple's needs.
